Malam Garba Shehu: I didn’t buy $800k form CBN

Malam Garba Shehu, Senior special  assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari has vehemently denied an accusation by the Peoples Democratic Party that he abused his office to get a special $800,000 FOREX allocation from the Central Bank of Nigeria.

According to the accusers he got the money at the rate of N185 and then sold it at N350. The accusers went further to allege that he had also been allocated a choice land by the Minister of the Federal capital Territory, in Abuja.

In a statement via his  Twitter account, Shehu vehemently denied the accusation on forex allocation and vowed to sue the people behind the rumour.

Shehu was not the only person accused by the PDP Twitter handle.

The President’s wife, Aisha was also accused of getting a $22million dollar allocation on the instruction of CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele.

Also accused was Interior Minister, Lt. General Abdulrahman Dambazau, who was accused of getting an allocation of $6million, via a Bureau de Change.

Malam Abba Kyari, the president’s chief of staff was accused of getting the lowest allocation of $400,000 from the same Emefiele.
