No panic… Gombe police detonating bombs

The Gombe State Police Command said it will commence from today the detonation of all recovered high caliber Military Ordinances and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in its custody.

Public Relations Officer, DSP Mohammed Padah said the exercise would end on 25 March.

The exercise is being undertaken by the Explosives Ordinance Department (EOD) of the command along Gombe-Bajoga road.

“The command wishes to inform the general public that the Explosives Ordinance Department (EOD) of the command will engage in demolition of recovered high caliber Military Ordinance and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) from March 23 to March 25 ,“ it said.

The command advised the general public not to panic on hearing sounds of explosions in the area.
