The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) System Operations said that power generation was experiencing a drop to an average of 3,755MW.

Mr Clement Ezeolisah, Assistant General Manager (Public Affairs) of TCN said the drop in generation was due to last week’s scheduled maintenance on the pipelines supplying gas to the generating stations.

He claimed power generation has begun to improve and was now over 4,200MW on daily average.

However, many Nigerians have reported blackout, going into weeks. The power distribution companies blamed the outage on low power output.
