Head of Ile-Ife kingmakers dies

Ile-Ife, Osun State was thrown into mourning today with the death of Oba Solomon Omisakin, head of the kingmakers.

His death, three months after that of Oba Okunade Sijuwade, the Ooni of Ife has now halted the process of selection and appointment of a new monarch for the ancient town.

Omisakin was the Obalufe at Iremo Quarters in Ile-Ife, the second in command to the Ooni.
