Four members of Edo State Executive Council have been sacked by Governor Adams Oshiomhole.
The Commissioners whose sack takes immediate effect, are Lucky James, (Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs); Mrs. Maigida Blessing, (Commissioner for Women Affairs); Patrick Aguinede, (Commissioner for Basic Education)and Chris Ebare, (Commissioner for Energy and Water Resources).
News of the sack of the commissioners was contained in a press statement issued on Wednesday and signed by Prince Kassim Afegbua, Special Adviser (Media and Publicity) to Governor Oshiomhole.
The press statement noted that the sack of the Commissioners was in line with the state government’s commitment to strengthen the system towards optimal performance.
The Governor who expressed his appreciation to the former Commissioners for their services to the state, directed them to hand over all government properties in their possession to the Permanent Secretaries in their respective Ministries.
He wished them well in their future endeavours.
