Apostle J Olatunde, founder, the Eagles Evangelistic Ministry, has raised a controversy over the status of the New International Version of the Holy Bible (NIV). In his words: “If you own an NIV. Did you know that it was written by Zondervan and they are owned by Harper Collins, that also publishes The Satanic Bible, and The Joy of Gay Sex?”
He added that NIV has removed 64,575 words from the Bible, including Jehovah, Calvary, Holy Ghost and omnipotent to name but a few… NIV has also removed 45 complete verses. Most of us have the Bible on our phones.
He challenged Nigerian Christians to try and find the following scriptures under NIV “on your phone right now if you don’t believe me”:
Matthew 17:21: Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
Matthew 18:11: For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
Matthew 23:14: Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
Mark 7:16: If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
Mark 9:44: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
Mark 9:46: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
Luke 17:36: Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Luke 23:17: (For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)
John 5:4: For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
Acts 8:37: And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
He submitted: “You will not believe your eyes. These verses are not in NIV Bible!”
However, a commentator, Charles Umagu, argued on Olatunde’s Facebook wall that Zondervan is the publisher of the New International Version starting in 1973. In 1988 they were bought by Haper Collins Publishers. Haper Collins in turn is owned by a company called News Corp. In 1999 News Corp bought Avon Books and merged it into their Harper Collins company. Avon Books tends to publish romance novels, but back in 1976, it published the Satanic Bible written by the founder of the Church of Satan.
Thus, Zondervan is being accused of publishing the Satanic Bible, not because it actually publishes it, “but because its parent holding company also owns another company that published this book. It would be similar to being accused of stealing because you happen to work in the same office where a former thief now works.”

Even if there were no verse and chapters in the texts like you claim, does not stop discerning people from recognizing incomplete content? Even the publishers would not advance this lame point.
Do you get deeper understanding from incomplete texts?. Your justification makes no sense, do the e versions have foot notes as well? if someone read Matthew 17:21 on their smart device they would definitely not see the removed part, how handy is your footnote here. The devil deceives you by infiltration of your mind, subtly distorts the truth like he did with Eve and gullible people like you fall for it unknowing.
Texts in Hebrew and Greek frm which d english Translations were made do not hv chapters and verses so there can be no missing verses. The challenge we hv today is dat every1 wants publicity but are not ready to pay d price for it. If u are a Bible scholar u wld kno dat d NIV BIBLE is ok, every word porportedly missing frm d NIV are words which were not in d original Translations in the 1st place, but was added by d translators of kjv and similar older english translations. We need to investigate more, study more and research more before coming out to shout
Dear Apostle, kindly stop looking for cheap publicity and buy proper bibles. The verses you refer to contain footnotes that make everything apparent. For instance, using your example of Luke 17:36, the NIV bible has a footnote instead, referring you to Matt. 24:40 which states exactly the same thing. The NIV bible is not a story book, its for people who require a deeper understanding of the word of God, so abeg, go and read your king James and lets have peace, till you get a better understanding of how to operate a modern bible and its components

This is a clear fact that these so-called high priests are secretly and slowly inserting a poising in the christian faithful hearts, by pretending to be godly and behind the scene working for and worshiping the devil “Lucifer” as their god. Whati is a bible translator to do when he comes to a verse such as Mark 9:44 which is not in the oldest manuscripts available to day. Clearly he would have to omit what was not in the oldest copies. As for leaving out Gods name we must put personal buyest aside. Wren ever YHWH is in the oldest copies Jehovah must be put in. Love for truth must prevail.
