Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has appointed Felix Obuah, the state chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, as the sole administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Authority.

This news of the appointment which takes immediate effect was contained in a statement issued by Opunabo Inko Tariah. He said the appointment was made after the Governor  paid an unscheduled visit to the office of the Authority along Ikwerre road.

Port Harcourt the state capital once reputed to be a Garden City had in the past few months  turned into a garbage city due to the refusal of refuse contractors to clear the refuse because government was owing four months of Claims.

Obuah has been described as the best chairman by Wike during the campaign time before the April 11 governorship election.
