Tambuwal, Buhari campaign boosted in Sokoto

More people have dumped the Peoples Democratic Party in Sokoto state to boost the campaigns of Maj. General Muhammadu Buhari and Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, who wants to be the next governor.

He renounced his membership of PDP on Saturday and came with over 2589 supporters to join the APC.

Dange told a rally of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) that he now believes that Nigeria will get better in the hands of the progressives.

” We will reach out to our teaming supporters in the rural areas to actively mobilize to the winning team for the overall victory of our candidates to ensure the realization of the progressives programme,” he said.

” Our imam, youth leaders, women and elders will be engaged in sensitising our supporters to safeguard their permanent voters cards for the elections ” he said.

He said the Wamakko administration had succeeded in putting in place policies and programmes that have improved the welfare of the people.

Dange also expressed confidence in the ability of Speaker Aminu Waziri Tambuwal to continue with the good leadership of the Wamakko administration to move the state forward.

Governor Aliyu Wamakko urged the defectors to ensure they collect their permanent voters card.

He said that the card remains the weapon needed to effect the desired political change for the good of the country. He said that no amount of intimidation will deter the progressives from seeking the political change in the country.

He also called on supporters to shun violence and thuggery for the peaceful conduct of elections.

” We have done it in our states and by special grace of God we shall do it at the federal level in our resolve to better the lots of our people.

He also advised them to shun money bag politicians who may approach them to buy their permanent voters card. He said that the card should be used to vote for all APC candidates seeking elective positions so as to ensure good governance in the country.
