The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nigeria’s north western Zamfara state has embarked on ward to ward campaign as part of strategy to win the general elections in the state.
The state’s party Campaign Director-General, Alhaji Malami Yandoto, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Gusau on Sunday.
He said “as you know, our great party PDP had already flagged-off its Presidential and Governorship campaigns here in Gusau.
“Now, we are going from house to house, village to village to see our people because we believe that majority of Zamfara people will vote for PDP.’’
Yandoto, who is also the running mate of the party’s Governorship Candidate, Alhaji Mahmud Shinkafi, expressed hope that God willing,
PDP would win the February elections in the state.
While calling on party members to maintain law and order during their campaign activities, Yandoto said the PDP as a political party was encouraging its members to always be law abiding.
