In Picture: Overloaded truck in the Sahara Desert

An overloaded truck in Madama, northern Niger Republic, 100 kilometres from the Libyan border.

The truck was seen 1 January today by Dominique Faget, an AFP photographer who accompanied French defence minister on a visit to the town.

    Looks like the truck of one of Obama’s new citizens, after a day at the garage sales here in Phoenix.
