Igbos will vote Jonathan, says Ohanaeze chief

Dr.Chris Eluemunoh, chairman of the ethnic Igbo political-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo, the Anambra state Chapter on Saturday said the group would vote for Nigeria’s President GoodLuck Jonathan in February’s presidential election.

Eluemunoh said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) at Nkwella-Ezunaka, Oyi Local Government Area, Anambra.

He said Igbo people would vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the exercise because, as he put it, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has no agenda for the South East.

He called on the people of the state to obtain voter cards to exercise their civic rights, adding, “the card is the weapon at the voter’s disposal in choosing a leader.

  • Ibos shall the vote the right man for the job regardless of his ethnic nationality or religious convictions...

  • Let Ibos vote their choice individually and not collectively as Ibos, that is why we are still stuck in the mud, retailing tribal politics. Hausa/fulani shouldn't vote for Buhari just because he is one of them or Yoruba, put Jonathan under the bus because Obasanjo says he is an evil man. Let us all go out and vote whom we think is better, individually.

  • Did GEJ do anything for the Igbo states in the last 6 years. APC has a plan for the entire country including the Igbos. APC will fight corruption and that's what we all need as a country
