The political alignment and re-alignment in Ogun state appear to be taking shape, with the mass movement of a section of the All Progressives Congress moving to the Social Democratic Party, indicating that the move to reconcile all the tendencies and the aggrieved members within the Ogun APC has collapsed.

The group led by Chief Olusegun Osoba, includes the three APC senators from the state and six members of the House of Representatives.

It also includes the estranged deputy governor, Segun Adesegun, who last week wrote a scathing, open letter to Governor Ibikunle Amosun, complaining about his undignified treatment, unbefitting his position as deputy governor.

It is also being speculated that Otunba Abayomi Odunowo, a senior special assistant of Governor Amosun, who resigned his appointment this week, may be heading to the SDP.
