If one thinks, British Prime Minister David Cameron would be among the most familiar faces in the country, one will have a change of mind after reading this story by gossip journalist, Sebastian Shakespeare in the Daily Mail…

First, a suspected protester — actually a hapless jogger — didn’t recognise Cameron in Leeds.

Now it emerges that he was blanked in the Buckinghamshire town of Aylesbury, only six miles from Chequers, his country retreat.

A receptionist at the local branch of Toni & Guy hair stylists didn’t twig when the Prime Minister brought in his son for a trim.

My man in the barber’s chair says that Cameron was told the salon was ‘full’. The PM then turned on his heel and headed to a humbler establishment down the road.

When the salon manager saw the potential high-profile client leaving, he said to the receptionist: ‘Don’t you know who that is?’ She didn’t, of course. The manager then gave chase, but it was too late.

A Downing Street spokesman said: ‘The PM went with his son to get his hair cut. The first place they came to was busy, so they went somewhere else.’
