Nigeria’s Federal Government has declared Wednesday, 1 October as public holiday to
mark Nigeria’s 54th Independence Anniversary.
The Minister of Interior, Mr Abba Moro, made the declaration on behalf of government.
He congratulated all Nigerians for witnessing another anniversary of the nation’s freedom from the British colonial overlords.
He urged Nigerians to build a more united and virile nation.
