Pope Francis to visit Turkey

Pope Francis will visit Turkey “in the final days of November”, the Vatican announced on Friday.

Father Federico Lombardi told reporters the pope had received an invitation from Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The exact date and programme has yet to be finalised.
