Amosun's achievements will thump rivals, says aide

Alhaji Shuaib Salisu, the Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, western Nigeria has described the performance of his boss as a trump card for the All Progressives Congress(APC) in the forthcoming general elections in the State.

Speaking with some journalists in Abeokuta, the State capital on Sunday on the chances of his party,APC, in the 2015 elections, Salisu who is eyeing the Ogun Central Senatorial seat, explained that all zones in the State had experienced great changes through the mission to rebuild programme of the Amosun-led administration.

He noted that the magnitude of projects embarked upon and so far completed by the administration is unprecedented.

The founding Secretary-General of the Institute of Software Practitioners of Nigeria(ISPON) reeled out some of programmes of the administration, spanning across all sectors of the economy, which he said, would influence the electorate’s decision at the polls.

“Those who have benefitted from the various schemes would not forget, farmers who were given assistance in terms of equipment rented out to them at subsidized rates by the government to encourage them go into mechanized farming and improve on their output would remain indelible in the minds of numerous, hitherto peasant farmers”, he disclosed.

The  ICT guru turned politician emphasised that the infrastructure being put in place by the administration, particularly  roads are not concentrated in the State capital alone, but rather, in  all three Senatorial Districts with a view to giving every indigene a sense of belonging.

He declared that the opposition was rattled by the performance of Governor Amosun within the three years in office.

The Deputy Chief of Staff described the governor as a pace setter and advocate of Ogun in new millennium, noting that, this was responsible for the agenda of the administration,  tagged Mission to Rebuild, with a view  to taking the State to world standard.

He, however, called on the people of the State to continue giving the governor their unflinching support for the completion of the ongoing projects and continue to entrench good governance for the benefit of the people, irrespective of their social class.
