Liverpool Reach Agreement for Southampton Defender

Liverpool have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Croatian defender Dejan Lovren from fellow Premier League side Southampton for a fee of £20m.

Lovren becomes the third player to join Liverpool from Southampton following the transfers of striker Rickie Lambert for £8m and winger Adam Lallana for £25m before the World Cup.

The 25-year old defender will have his medical at Liverpool on Saturday before finalising his move to Anfield, though the club is currently on a pre-season tour of the United States.
