Heartland FC unveils new coach

Owerri – The management of Heartland FC of Owerri on Thursday unveiled the new coach of the club, Bethel Orji, charging him to move the club to the next level.

Performing the unveiling in Owerri, the Media Officer of the club, Cajethan Nkwopara, said that Orji replaced the former coach, Ramson Madu.

Nkwopara said the club management sacked Madu based on some technical issues.

“The former coach was sacked not because he didn’t perform well but the new management wanted a change in the coaching department,” he said.

Nkwopara said the management was expecting the new coach to do everything possible to retain the lost glory of the club.

Speaking at the event, Orji described his appointment as “divine.”

“I have a divine appointment to move Heartland to the next level.”

He urged the management and fans of the club not to entertain fear over its current position, promising that he would change the entire game of the club.

“Heartland FC is not in a bad position.

“We will work in harmony with other technical crew of the club to make sure that we achieve result,” Orji said.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Orji played with Enyimba FC of Aba and Iwuanyawu National FC of Owerri during his football career (NAN)
