The Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, NPHCDA, Dr. Muyi Aina, who doubles as the primemover of the Muyiwa Aina Foundation, has organised a one-million-man rally in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reelection in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.

At the recent rally, which was held at the Muhammodu Buhari Square and attracted participants from across the state. Aina said the president’s record in office deserves another term. He listed health, education, the economy, and infrastructure development as key areas the president has done well in the last three years.

Highlighting developments in the health sector, Aina noted that the federal government has intensified reforms aimed at expanding access to primary healthcare and strengthening service delivery nationwide.

“Key among these is the revitalisation of over 160,000 Primary Health Care Centres (PHCs) through increased funding, improved staffing, and the provision of essential drugs and equipment,” he said.

He added that the administration has also expanded health insurance coverage under the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), particularly targeting vulnerable populations and reducing out-of-pocket healthcare costs.

“Through enhanced budgetary allocations and targeted interventions, efforts have been made to rehabilitate dilapidated school facilities and expand learning opportunities, especially in underserved communities,” he said.

Aina further noted that the strengthening of technical and vocational education, alongside the introduction of student loan schemes, has helped equip young Nigerians with practical skills while easing financial barriers to tertiary education.

Aina also commended Governor Ahmed Ododo for uplifting complimenting efforts of the president in the state. He, therefore, called on Nigerians to support the re-election of both President Tinubu and Governor Ododo in 2027, expressing confidence that their continued leadership would deliver greater dividends of democracy.

In his remarks, Governor Ododo praised President Tinubu’s commitment to rebuilding the country and urged Kogi residents to rally behind the reelection bid of the president
