Minister of State for Health, Dr. Isiaq Adekunle Salako, has accused the opposition parties of taking advantage of Nigerians’ ignorance on the tax reform, saying those criticizing the policy haven’t studied it properly.

Speaking with newsmen on Saturday at Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi’s Thanksgiving and end of year party, Salako highlighted the benefits of President Bola Tinubu’s reforms, which includes, reduced rice prices (50kg bag down from N105,000 to N55,000, No fuel queues in fuel stations at the beginning of the year, the policy has also gradually ease insecurity challenge in the country.

Salako questioned the opposition’s alternatives, asking if they’d reintroduce fuel subsidies or maintain the official-black market exchange rate disparity.

He emphasized the naira’s international recognition, allowing card transactions globally.

On stamp duty, Salako clarified that the N50 charge applies to transactions above N10,000, paid by the initiator, contrary to misconceptions.

“The opposition has nothing to offer except lies,” Salako said, urging Nigerians to stick with the APC’s progressive policies, improving lives.
