President of the Africa Road Fund Maintenance Association (ARMFA), Essale Mousa Aubin, today, November 16, 2025, briefed the press on the significance of the upcoming Africa Road Conference, starting tomorrow, November 17, 2025.
He revealed a major significance of the African summit in Liberia, for the first time, to explore opportunities to build up Liberia’s road infrastructure, from first generation to second or third generation.
Liberia is the only African country using the old-fashioned first generation, which is wholly government-controlled in administration and funding.
Mousa also revealed that there is a gender balance at ARMFA, with female CEOs in other African countries, apart from Liberia. These include Mali, Angola, Lesotho, and Senegal.
The CEO, National Road Fund NRF, the host, Madam Neufville Wento, welcomed the 35 African delegates, with others from the World Bank, African Development Bank, and European Union, who are participating in the important gathering.
She was upbeat about a successful outcome of the 22nd Assembly of AFMFA in Liberia.
Over 250 delegates are expected in Liberia in the week-long conference, from 17 to 21 November 2025.
