The city of Abeokuta played host to an evening of prestige and celebration on Sunday, October 12, 2025, as the Synergy Awards returned to The Marquee, Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library. The event once again gathered an impressive mix of business icons, innovators, and thought leaders from across the Southwest.
Gracing the occasion were Dr. Bola Akindele, distinguished entrepreneur and philanthropist, and Hon. Bukola Olopade, Director General of the National Sports Commission. Their participation highlighted the Awards’ growing significance as a meeting point for excellence in leadership, creativity, and enterprise.
In recognition of exceptional achievements, this year’s edition honoured outstanding individuals and organizations making a visible impact in governance, media, entrepreneurship, and social innovation. Among the night’s top honourees were Biola Odetola, applauded for his role in youth development, and GirlsInTech, commended for advancing digital inclusion for women.
Corporate sponsors played a vital role in elevating the experience. Freshest Bread headlined the lineup, joined by South Kitchen as Silver Partner and DND Travels and Tours as Corporate Partner. Oshus Freight also took the lead in category sponsorships, reflecting the synergy between business and creativity that defines the Awards.
Adding excitement to the atmosphere, Barry Jhay and Femi Levite captivated the audience with powerful performances that blended artistry with emotion, rounding off the evening on a high note.
Six years since its inception, the Synergy Awards continues to build on its legacy as one of the Southwest’s most trusted platforms for recognizing distinction and promoting collaboration. More than an event, it has become a movement celebrating the people and brands shaping the region’s future.
