BBNaija Season 10 has stopped live transmission for more than six hours. MultiChoice has released a statement, saying that it is experiencing a temporary break due to power issues, while assuring the fans that the housemates are safe and sound.
“Our technical team is working swiftly to restore power and normal service. Thank you for your patience. Grab a snack, stretch your legs. We’ll be back serving premium entertainment shortly,” the statement read in part.
BBNaija stopped live transmission at about 2 pm West African time. And since then, efforts to resume transmission have proved abortive. It has been recycling snippets of past events in the house as well as advertisements.
However, this has indeed triggered a wave of anxiety across the continent. Fans are currently in panic mode as they urge MultiChoice to begin live transmission immediately. They are also not satisfied with the reasons MultiChoice has given for the break in transmission.
While some fans blame MultiChoice for releasing the statement pretty late, others insist there is more to it than meets the eye. They believe it is more than a power outage.
And the Internet is awash with fans expressing their anxiety and fears about the safety of the housemates. Still, others who have been hooked to the reality show since Season 10 began say the break in transmission has affected them in no small measure, and they can no longer do anything else.
As fans wait with bated breath for live transmission to start, what they kept seeing on the screen are snippets of old videos, while they are advised to stayed tune as transmission will resume shortly. But the billion dollar question is: when will live transmission start?
