Kogi Govt Celebrates Prince Olusola Akanmode at 75, Sen. Adeyemi at 65

The Kogi State Government has felicitated with former Secretary to the State Government and Deputy Chief of Staff to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, Prince Olusola Akanmode, on the occasion of his 75th birthday.

In a statement issued on Monday by the Commissioner for Information and Communications,  Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the government described Prince Akanmode as “a consummate administrator and patriot” whose contributions to both state and national development remain indelible.

The statement recalled that Akanmode, as Secretary to the Kogi State Government, played a pivotal role in the formulation and implementation of policies that guided the state in its formative years, noting that his brilliance and sense of duty helped lay the foundation for a progressive Kogi.

At the national level, the government noted, Prince Akanmode distinguished himself as Deputy Chief of Staff to President Obasanjo, where he worked closely with the then Vice President and made significant contributions to governance at the highest level.

“His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on behalf of the government and people of Kogi State, extends heartfelt congratulations to Prince Akanmode on this landmark celebration. We pray for continued good health, divine protection, and many more years of fruitful service to humanity,” the statement read.

The government further described Prince Akanmode’s life at 75 as “a testament to excellence, sacrifice, and impact,” adding that he remains a pride of both Kogi State and Nigeria.

 

KGSG on Sen. Adeyemi at 65: He is a man of courage

The Kogi State Government has described Senator Smat Adeyemi as a man of courage who has devoted his energy to the service to the people.

Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo gave the description in a goodwill message to mark the 65th birthday of the former national assembly member from Kogiwest Senatorial district. The message reads

“The government and people of Kogi State heartily congratulate Distinguished Senator Smart Adeyemi, CON, on the occasion of his 65th birthday.

“Senator Adeyemi, who represented the people of Kogi West Senatorial District three times in the Red Chambers of the National Assembly, is a man whose life and career reflect courage, service, and devotion to humanity. From his sterling career in journalism to his outstanding contributions as a federal lawmaker, he has remained a voice of courage, equity, and progress for Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole.

“Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, while celebrating Senator Adeyemi, described him as “a great journalist and an accomplished politician who has etched his name in the sands of time through service, sacrifice, and patriotic commitment to the development of our state and nation.

“The Governor noted that Senator Adeyemi’s passionate advocacy for good governance, his contributions to legislative development, and his unwavering defence of the interests of Kogi people remain remarkable milestones in the democratic journey of our nation.

“As he marks this milestone 63rd birthday, the Kogi State Government joins his family, friends, political associates, and well-wishers to pray for continued good health, greater accomplishments, and many more years of fruitful service to our fatherland.

“Happy Birthday, Distinguished Senator.”
