Kogi: Senator Sunday Karimi Foundation set to disburse bursary award

As part of efforts to promote learning and inclusivity, the Senator Sunday Karimi Education Foundation has announced the commencement of scholarship schemes for students of  Kogi state origin in public tertiary institutions across.

The foundation, which made this known on Wednesday, stated that 1,390 students of the Kogi West senatorial district in public tertiary institutions will benefit from the bursary award.

The Foundation also stated that under the Tinubu Support Group Bursary Award, 1000 students from Kogi Eastern Senatorial District and 610 students from Central Senatorial District studying in public tertiary institutions across the country will be awarded the bursary.

According to the Foundation, the bursary award will commence from 1st August to 31st August 2025, noting that each of the successful beneficiaries will receive one hundred thousand naira only (#100,000).

It would be recalled that the Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, while marking his second year in office last month (June), announced the bursary award and assured that it would benefit students from the three senatorial districts in Kogi state.
