A Germany/UK-based Nigerian, Kelvin Sodeko, has inaugurated a supporting group for Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi in his ambition to contest for the post of governor come 2027.

Kelvin, a psychiatric nurse practitioner in United Kingdom and Germany, while speaking with TheNEWS said he is not a politician, but he follows politicians back to back to see their achievements so far, and he noticed that Senator Yayi has been exceptional in terms of development in Ogun West.

Kelvin, who was so passionate about developments in Nigeria, believed that if Yayi, who contested for Senate for the first time in Ogun West, could do what no governor who spent four years in office in Ogun state has done in two years then he will do better if given the chance to become governor.

“I am not a politician, I am a Psychiatric Nurse practitioner in the UK and Germany, but I have followed politicians and monitored their developmental strides and I find Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi exceptional and that was what prompted me to form a supporting group here in UK, Germany and the Diaspora with the name  ‘Yayi for Governor 2027, Nigeria,UK/Germany and Diaspora”.

I am an Egba man,I see what our Egba representatives have done as governor and I have weighed them all, even intending representatives, and I find Senator Olamilekan Adeola exceptional.

I believe if he can do what he did in Ogun West in two years, then he can make Ogun state great for all citizens, even those of us in Diaspora would be glad to return home rather than dying abroad.” He said

If all our leaders are developing Nigeria the way Yayi is doing now, they will not have to come abroad for medical treatment. We have doctors, engineers and other professionals who are better than white men in Nigeria, but our leaders have failed to develop Nigeria, and those of us in Diaspora are tired. I feel it’s time for us to speak out, and that is why I am sponsoring a supporting group for Senator Yayi to become governor in 2027 because I want him to continue the good work he did in Ogun west and make it go round the state”.

Mr Avoseh Friday,  the Acting state coordinator,for the group, “Yayi for Governor 2027 Nigeria,Uk/Germany and Diaspora” while speaking at the first inaugural meeting held at Oke-Itoku Abeokuta noted that the group is out to market Senator Adeola Olamilekan Yayi to contest for governorship position in 2027 after carefully studying his developmental programmes in Ogun West.

He opined that “if governor of Ogun, who spent four years, has done what Yayi has done in two years, things would be better. On this note, our sponsor said he wanted us to form a group that would support Yayi for 2027 and he is ready to finance it. We did not think twice because we also want our state to develop and we want progress, that is why we are here today,to support him to continue his good work.”
