The late Kano business mogul, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata would be buried in Madina, Saudi Arabia, near his late wife’s grave..

But funeral prayer of the  Kano-based philanthropist has been held in absentia at Umar Bin Katya Mosque, Kano.

The Chairman, Kano Council of Ulama, Sheikh Ibrahim Khalil  announced  the funeral.

Dantata, who passed on at  the age of 94, died in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), at the early hours of Saturday.

Family sources told our Correspondent that Aminu Dantata’s choice of place for burial was in fulfilment of his wish that whenever he dies, he should be buried beside his wife’s grave in Madina, Saudi Arabia.
