The University of Lagos Consultancy Services is pleased to announce an upcoming public event in honour of His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, a steadfast advocate for justice, equitable resource distribution, and environmental sustainability in the Niger Delta. A true Apostle of national unity and exemplary leader of his people, Governor Diri’s contributions to the Nigerian polity will be celebrated through a landmark publication and public event.
Titled “Leadership Chronicles of Governor Douye Diri”, the book is a rich compendium of essays and reflections on the Governor’s leadership philosophy, governance style, achievements and unwavering commitment to the ideals of equity, justice, and national cohesion. Edited by Professor Hope Eghagha and Sola Ojewusi, the volume brings together diverse perspectives on the sterling leadership of one of Nigeria’s most respected public servants.
This important publication is part of the ongoing Essays in Honour Series being published by the University of Lagos Consultancy Services, aimed at documenting and celebrating transformational leadership across the country.
The event will feature two key segments:
- A Public Lecture in Honour of Senator Douye Diri, to be delivered by a distinguished international figure.
- The Official Public Launch of the Book, Leadership Chronicles of Governor Douye Diri.
The ceremony will take take place at the University of Lagos on a date to be announced shortly.
This initiative underscores the University of Lagos’ continuing role in promoting scholarship, leadership values, and national development.
