The Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA) has introduced performance-based criteria, through performance contract, signed by all Heads of Directorates, to boost efficiency and effectiveness on all line duties

This development was revealed at a meeting by the Executive Director, ED, of SLRSA, James Baggie Bio.

This development is sequel to a routine performance contract signed by past and present EDs with the Minister of Transport, the supervising ministry.

To the new ED, Bio, such a signed contract can be thoroughly achieved through similar performance signed contracts with all Heads of Directorate at SLRSA.

A wind of revolution has begun at SLRSA under the new ED, who was appointed just less than 100 days ago.

He has introduced a mobile computerised work station vehicle, that will reach corporate entities, business outlets and the people, to license vehicles.

He has also made simple licenses procedures, without middle men, at all SLRSA stations.

He has also, through the new Director of Human Resources and administration, Mariama Masuba, developed a seamless and proper chain of command, to channel all complaints, hitches and grievances. He, if necessary, will then take it up with the Deputy ED, Josie Scott Manga who doubles as Head of Operations

The new performance contract by SLRSA on all unit heads, is part of the ongoing revolution by the ED, to place the entity at par with similar organisations in the region and beyond.
