An entrepreneur, Princess Folashade Salami Soetan, has commended the leadership of the Okun Development Association, ODA, for the inauguration of the Okun Security Implementation Committee, describing it as a bold and revolutionary move.

The. ODA Publicity Secretary, Pastor Dayo Thomas, who made this known in a statement, said the businesswoman noted that the effort will play a crucial role in tackling the security challenges that have plagued the area, including the senseless killings and kidnappings that have become all too common in the region.

Soetan, a philanthropist, extolled the members of the committee, describing them as erudite and worthy ambassadors of Okun land. She also lauded the ODA President-General, Amb. Rotimi Akesson, for his creative approach to community development, noting that improving security and infrastructure will not only enhance the lives of the people but also attract investments and promote economic growth.

The ODA has been actively working to promote unity, development, and cultural preservation among the Okun people, and the inauguration of the Okun Security Implementation Committee is seen as a strategic move to leverage the skills, expertise, and experiences of its members to address security issues and promote development in Okunland.

With this initiative, the ODA is poised to make a meaningful impact in the region, and Princess Soetan’s congratulatory message is a testament to the significance of this effort.

Soetan, the founder of Okun Ambassadors, urged the people to join hands with this effort, hailing it as remarkable.

It would be recalled that the apex Okun sociocultural organisation, ODA,  recently organised a security summit before a committee was put in place to enforce its decisions. This followed increased security breaches in the area.
