Barely one year after ascending the throne, a high court in Lokoja, Kogi, sacked the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, His Majesty Alhaji Ahmed Muhammed Tajani Anaje from office.
On Monday, Hon Justice Salisu Umar, the Presiding Judge of High Court 6 in the state capital, made an order directing the defendant to stop presenting himself as the paramount ruler of Ebiraland.
Though the court has yet to make details of the judgement available, it was gathered that the case pertains to case number HCO/05C/2024, filed by Dr. Barnabas Adeku Ojiah and two others against the Governor of Kogi State.
The sacked Ohinoyi was appointed by former governor Yahaya Bello last year January following the demise of Alhaji Ado Ibrahim, former Ohonoyi Ebiraland.
