Governor Yusuf visited Engr. Bunkere when he was on sick bed

Engr. Ahmad Ishaq Bunkure, Special Adviser on Works to Kano state Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf died in Egypt a day after his swearing-in.

Engr. Bunker was among the Special Advisers sworn in by Governor Yusuf at Ante Chamber, Government House, Kano, on Monday, but he lost his life in Egypt on Tuesday.

This news of his death sent shockwaves across Government House, Kano.

Governor Yusuf has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Engr. Bunkure.

This was disclosed in a statement by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Wednesday.

In his condolence message, Governor Yusuf described the death of Engr. Bunkure was a tragic and irreplaceable loss to Kano State, his family, and the wider political community.

He prayed for Allah’s mercy on the deceased and strength for his family to bear the painful loss.

“This is a heartbreaking moment for us as a government. Engr. Bunkure was a dedicated professional whose expertise and contributions were expected to drive our administration’s vision for development. His loss is deeply felt,” Governor Yusuf said.

Engr. Ahmad Ishaq Bunkure had only been appointed as Special Adviser on Works, making his sudden death a shock to many.

Condolences have continued to pour in, including from His Excellency, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and members of the Kano State Government.

Our Correspondent reports that Engr. Bunker who has been sick and was flown to Egypt for medical attention was sworn in in absentia.
