Brotherhood of the Cross celebrates the physical manifestation of its founder

As activities for the 2024 Christmas get underway, the Brotherhood of the  Cross and Star says all is now set to celebrate the physical manifestation of its leader and founder,  Leader Olumba Olumba Obu at a colourful ceremony to be held at the headquarters of the organization in Calabar, Cross River State.

This was disclosed by Archbishop Emmanuel Ekuri, deputy spokesman of the group, in a recent chat with journalists in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital. He added that the week-long event will start on Monday, 23 December, and end on December 31.

According to him an annual public lecture with the theme ” Dignity in service to humanity” will be held on Saturday, December 21 at the Obi Wali International Conference Center, Port Harcourt with notable scholars and personalities expected to grace the occasion.

The lecture series started in 2019 and has been a strong platform for showcasing and reflecting on the enduring teachings and accomplishments of Leader Olumba Olumba Obu.

The lecture series, according to the spokesman, is also aimed at drawing the attention of leaders and the entire humanity to the exemplary lifestyle and teachings of the leader.

On Tuesday, December 24, members are expected to carry out charity works, humanitarian activities, open kitchen and Vegetarian Day by giving out free food, clothing and other necessities to the needy and vulnerable and also visiting orphanages and destitute homes. Members are also expected to fast on Thursday and carry out prison ministry in various locations in Nigeria and abroad to reflect the suffering and death of Jesus Christ.

A symbolic walk will be carried out by Leader Olumba Olumba Obu and the event will be rounded up with  BCS Art and merit award, prayers for the world at the cross overnight.
