Base Organisation Boosts Cultural Tourism with Amala in Sierra Leone

The base organisation is a registered socio-cultural organisation, located in the heart and centre of Freetown, where the State House, Financial institutions, Commercial operators and the first university in Sub-Saharan Africa, Fourah Bay College, are domiciled.

Last Sunday, 8 December, Base stunned the country, with the “Amala Festival “, mixed with cultural activities.

The event attracted senior government officials, members of the Nigerian and Nigerian diplomatic corps and Captains of Industries.

The base organisation is composed of individuals with mixed ancestry and deep heritage.

Base aims at setting up a foundation to promote philanthropic activities in areas of commerce, education, sports and entrepreneurship.

Its Chairman, Majid Aminu, revealed that Base will be a multi-million dollar organisation in the next 5 years, with bonafide branches globally, in the US, UK, Germany, Japan, Australia and China.

The event last Sunday 8 December, drew a colourful gathering from all works of life, with lots to eat, and drink, amid cultural displays.
