Immediate past Governor of Edo State, Mr Godwin Obaseki, has commenced “post-tenure medical vacation”.

This was disclosed in a statement by his media adviser, Caruso Osagie.

He, however, did not disclosed where the vacation is and when he is expected back to where.

Obaseki completed his eight years of two terms as Governor of Edo on 12 November.

Osagie in the statement, said the vacation was to enable the former Governor to rest and undergo extended medical checks.

Osagie stated that Obaseki, “expressed his appreciation to God Almighty and the people of Edo state and Nigeria for the opportunity to serve.

“He urged all Edo people both at home and in the Diaspora to continue to continue to be hopeful and pray for the peace, progress  and prosperity of our State and Nigeria.”
