Prince Adesegun Ajibola, Chairman of, the Board of Trustees, at Crescent University, Abeokuta has said all the academic programmes being offered at the university are accredited by the National University Commission and other regulatory bodies such as the Council for Legal Education.

Ajibola, who is also the proprietor of the university, made this disclosure at the 16th convocation ceremony of the university which was held at the Bola Ajibola Auditorium on Friday, October 19, 2024.

Ajibola made this statement against the backdrop of the fake news making the rounds that some courses being offered at the university are not accredited by the NUC and other regulatory bodies such as the Council for Legal Education.

“At the level of the University’s programmes and accreditation status, it is heartwarming that all our programmes enjoy full accreditation from the National University Commission, NUC, and other regulatory bodies.

“Compliance with regulations has always been at the core of the institution’s modus operandi and that will not change. We are also committed to improving the standards attained during the last accreditation exercise so that in five years, when these programmes would be due for a revisit by the NUC and other regulatory bodies, we shall stand in good stead, In Shaa Allah,” Ajibola said.

The Chairman, BOT, of the university also used the opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of benevolent individuals and organizations who continue to support the drive to make Crescent University the institution of choice among her peers.

On behalf of the university, he mentioned also the ASR Foundation of Alhaji Abdul  Samad Rabiu for the endowment of a landmark laboratory facility as well as Omooba Yemisi Shyllon for the endowment of E-Library Facilities for the Law Library.

“I must also mention the unceasing support received by our Mass Communication Department from Mr Mohammed Mi Harrath and the Islam Channel in the United Kingdom.

“We thank Chief Tunde Fanimokun for his enduring goodwill towards Crescent University. May God reward them all abundantly, ” Ajibola maintained.
