The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State, has called for the suspension of the declaration of the final result of last Saturday’s governorship election.
The party’s state collation agent, Osaigbovo Iyoha, made the demand after the much awaited result of Ikpoba-Okha LGA was finally announced.
He alleged that results of local government areas from over hundred kilometers away had been collated several hours ago, whereas the result of the local government areas in Benin, including Ikpoba-Okha where INEC’s office is situated had been deliberately delayed.
He alleged that the results were delayed to enable them temper with the figures.
He therefore said that his party demands a suspension of the announcement of the final result.
