Brother Naija Season 9 pair housemates, Flourish ( Dj Flo and Rhutee), Toby Forge and Mayor Frosh (Team Streeze), Zinwe(Zion and Chinwe), Tami(Toyosi and Damilola) and Ndi nne(Nne and Chinne) have opened up about their shocking evictions from the BBNaija house.
Toyosi and Damilola, who formed the “Tami” duo were the first to be evicted from Big Brother Naija Season 9.
Their eviction was mainly due to Damilola’s conflicts with other housemates, which made them unpopular. They didn’t get enough votes from viewers to stay in the house. Toyosi was a bold and outspoken housemate known for her strong personality. Damilola was quiet and more reserved but had several conflicts with other housemates.
In the ongoing Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 9, the pair known as Ndi Nne—comprising Chinne and Nne—was evicted during the second week of the show. This eviction was particularly surprising since the duo had just served as the Heads of House after winning their tenure as the first female leaders of the house.
Their eviction came as a shock to both the housemates and viewers because it followed closely after their successful leadership, during which they secured a victory in the weekly wager task. However, the eviction power was handed to the Custodians for that week, Team Streeze (comprising Mayor Frosh and Toby Forge), who ultimately decided to send Ndi Nne home. This decision was part of a twist where, unlike the previous week, the custodians were only allowed to evict and not save any pair.
Their eviction left many fans and housemates stunned, especially as they were among the bottom four pairs based on fan votes, alongside teams Radicals, Zinwe, and Flourish Despite their early exit, Ndi Nne had a memorable stint on the show, leaving a lasting impact as a strong competitor.
Mayor Frosh is 27 years old, he was born on the 20th of September 1999, he is from Oyo state. Tobi Forge was on the 15th of March 1997 and he is from Ondo. Mayor and Tobi have been friends since 2022, they met at Unilag and have been friends since.
Mayor is a perfectionist, a media director and a content creator, while Tobi is impatient and always in a rushed mood. He is a dance artist and a content creator. They are both irritated by their personality. They are both on the BBN show to showcase their talent and gain popularity.
Recall that the reality stars were evicted from the show on August 18, 2024, alongside the pair of Rhuthee and DJ Flo, known as Flourish.
Speaking with journalists, Forge revealed that he believed their “strong personalities, creativity, and strengths” made them a “threat to other contestants” — leading to their eviction. Just felt like it was the normal case. I was surprised and not surprised at the same time because maybe we were lowkey threats in the house. Our duo, personality, creativity, and strength and we were doing the right things. Too many people had it in for us and we did not know because we were cool with them,” he said,
“It was surprising, shocking, a bit disappointing but like I said they felt threatened. It was not like we were winning tasks back to back, it was just a personal conflict of interest. And so winning the custodian challenge the week prior, also made them line up towards that direction.”
Also speaking, Frosh echoed similar sentiments and stated that he was initially hurt by their eviction from the reality show.
The reality star, however, said he tried making friends with people he felt could be a threat. It was during his week of eviction he realized that some of his friends were not pure but he said “It’s fine”
Rhutee and DJ Flo, the “Flourish” pair, were evicted from BBNaija All Stars Season 9 due to their performance and popularity. In the show, housemates can be nominated for eviction by peers and also face elimination based on public votes. Rhutee and DJ Flo might have struggled with tasks or failed to connect with the audience, leading to fewer votes and their eventual eviction. Their exit reflects the competitive nature of the show, where popularity and performance heavily influence survival in the house.
Team Zinwe, Consisting of housemates Zion and Chinwe, was evicted from the BBN house on August 25, 2024, because they received the lowest vote among the five pairs that were up for eviction. The eviction process was determined entirely by the viewers’ vote, following the removal of the custodian challenge, which previously allowed certain housemates to save or evict others. Zinwe’s low vote count, at 12.76% led to their departure from the house
ZION: Zion was a dynamic and competitive participant, known for his strategic thinking. However, his approach sometimes caused friction with his partner, Chinwe, and other housemates. CHINWE: Chinwe was seen as a strong-willed and opinionated individual. Her interactions with Zion were often tense, which might have affected how viewers perceived the pair.
Their eviction was somewhat expected due to their strained relationship and their inability to garner enough support from viewers compared to other pairs.
