After apologising, on bended knees, at the famous central gospel church to Kenyans, over the controversial Finance Bill, which he later withdrew, President William Ruto is now heading for more troubles
He is now having a tough battle with his Vice, Rigathi Gachagua, following months of strained relations between the two leaders.
The strained relations have now gripped the nation and might snowball into another major crisis after the recent finance bill saga, that claimed many lives and destruction of properties.
President Ruto, reports say, is opposed to the Gachagua’s impeachment ploy, orchestrated by key members of the party because “he feared losing the support of the vote-rich Mount Kenya Region, where the VP hails from, will be catastrophic, leading to volatile consequences “.
The VP and his allies are now planning to form a new political party, to challenge the ruling United Democratic Alliance UDA, which they accused of betrayal and not seeking the region’s interests.
Ruto is now boxed into an unpleasant cubicle, that may lead to another major crisis in Kenya, East Africa’s major powerhouse.
