As preparations are on top gear for political campaign take-off later this month, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Presidential Condidate of the All Progessives Congress (APC), and his running mate, Kashem Shettima, are holding a crucial meeting of the party’s National Working Committee at its secretariat today.
It was for this reason that workers at the secretariat were given one-day leave. And today, security officils mounted surveillance at strategic positions to put any despeado at bay.
Although no official statement has been released by the leadership of the ruling APC, The Punch qutoed a source that the political roundtable “provides an opportunity to discuss Tinubu’s campaign manifesto and restrategise ahead of the political campaign, which kicks off on September 28.”
Tinubu and Shettima will address journalists after the meeting.
