1963 AUGUST 12: Prince Abyssinia Akweke Nwafor Orizu, on 12 August 1963, became the new Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. That after the redeployment of Chief Denis Osadebay from that seat to becoming the Administrator of Mid-West Region.
