Coronavirus: Drama as Reps oppose motion to evacuate Nigerians from China

The motion was raised by the spokesperson of the house, Benjamin Okezie.

But lawmakers opposed it on the premise that China has better facilities to handle the disease outbreak than Nigeria.

The lawmakers refused to heed Appeal by  the Speaker of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila to allow Mr Okezie to move his motion.

Also, the two lawmakers named as the sponsor of the motion backed out.
