Governor Nyesom Wike, the governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party has taken a strong lead against the candidate of AAC Biokpomabo Awara in the ongoing collation of results of March 9 Rivers governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Wike is leading the candidate of AAC who had been adopted by the Rotimi Amaechi led faction of APC eight out 10 local governments results declared so far.
The collation of the results is being done against the background of two parallel protests for and against it.
