Partly cloudy to sunny, dry weather to prevail on Friday- NiMet

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted partly cloudy to sunny and dry weather conditions over most parts of the country with chances of localised thunderstorms over some parts of the southern states on Friday.

NiMet’s Weather Outlook on Thursday, in Abuja, predicted partly cloudy to sunny conditions over the central states with day and night temperatures of 38 to 41 and 24 to 29 degrees Celsius.

The agency also predicted that Northern States would experience sunny and dry conditions with day and night temperatures of 38 to 41 and 21 to 24 degrees Celsius.

According to NiMet, Southern States will experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions in the morning with day and night temperatures of 33 to 37 and 22 to 26 degrees Celsius.

“Localised thunderstorms are expected over Calabar, Port-Harcourt, Asaba, Owerri, Umuahia, Lagos, Ijebu-Ode and Abeokuta in the afternoon and evening.

“Sunny and dry conditions are anticipated over the northern cities with chances of localized thunderstorms over some parts of the southern states in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted.
