Goje wins Gombe Central Senatorial seat

Senator Danjuma Goje:


Former governor of Gombe state, Alhaji Danjuma Goje of All Progressives Congress (APC), has won the Gombe Central Senatorial District seat for the third time.

Dr Musa Dahiru, the Returning Officer,  who announced the result in Kumo, headquarters of Akko Local Government Area of Gombe on Monday, said Goje polled 110,116 votes to defeat his closest rival, Alhaji Abubakar Nono of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 39,760 votes.

The Returning Officer gave the names and scores of other contestant as Alhaji Umaru Lamido of PRP,8397 votes; Aliyu Adamu of ASD ,155 votes and Salisu  Ahmed of CAP,  71 votes.

Others were Ibrahim Adamu of DA, 79 votes; Adamu Baka of DPP, 224 votes;  Haruna Musa of HDP, 51 votes ; Abubakar Goni of SDP ,349 votes and Adiya Baka of UPN,27 votes.
