There are anxieties that Nigeria’s presidential and national assembly elections scheduled for tomorrow  may be postponed.

This fear was heightened on Friday evening as the management of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC were locked in a meeting under very tight security at the commission’s headquarter in Abuja.

The meeting is ongoing as at the time of writing this story.

It was gathered that INEC is considering postponing the election due to the problems the commission is having distributing sensitive electoral matters to many parts of the country.

Sources say the electoral umpire may announce a new date for the election after the meeting.
