The presidential campaign rally of All Progressives Congress, APC in Ogun State descended into pandemonium on Monday in Abeokuta, as the huge crowd at the event openly called the party leaders ‘thief’ while President Muhammadu Buhari was smuggled out of the venue.

Pleas by Governor Ibikunle Amosun and APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole on the unruly crowd to be calm were ineffective.

The crowd became unruly when President Muhammadu Buhari raised up the hand of the Ogun APC gubernatorial candidate, Dapo Abiodun and asked them to vote for him.

The crowd replied “Nooooo” and the President was forced to drop Abiodun’s  hand while urging those in the huge crowd to “Vote for your choice on election day”.

Earlier, security Agents deployed to secure the entrances that leads to the stadium where presidential rally was held had recovered charms from some of the party’s supporters.

Recovered from one of the suspects (Name withheld) was a lizard which later ‘disappeared.’

When security operatives asked the suspect to ‘recover’ the lizard, he said he can’t because the essence of the lizard was to make someone disappear and never to return.

Effort by newsmen to get further information from the suspects proved abortive.

It will be recalled that Amosun  who is not in support of the APC gubernatorial candidate, had while addressing the crowd who came for the campaign at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Kuto, Abeokuta  earlier appealed to them not to be involved in any form of violence.

He also warned all the security agencies to be careful and not to use tear gas to control the crowd.
