Rev. Maxwell Onyia of the Anglican Church of Ascension, Enugu, has admonished Christians to shun acts of segregation against their fellow human beings, especially other religious faithful.
Onyia, who gave the admonition in his sermon on Sunday, charged Christians to emulate Christ, adding that He (Christ) did not segregate against others while on earth.
He further charged Christians to exhibit Christ-like character by helping the needy in their midst, irrespective of their religious inclinations.
The cleric further charged Christians to always study their bible, saying that this was the only way they could be properly guided and be able to live a righteous life.
“Christians should learn God’s ways of righteousness so as to receive blessings from Him,” Onyia said.
He said that the bible would also expose them to the wisdom of God, adding that wisdom only cometh from the word of God, according to the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN.
According to him, God’s wisdom entails peace, gentleness and loving one another, among others.
