The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Vice-President on Saturday survived an helicopter accident at Kabba in Kogi.

A statement by Mr Onogwu Muhammed, the Chief Press Secretary to Gov. Yahaya Bello in Lokoja, said that the vice president and his entourage have since continued with their assignment.

“The Kogi State Government wishes to announce that the Vice President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, is safe.

”This followed the challenge experienced during the landing of his helicopter at about 1:30pm today in Kabba, Kogi State.

“The VP and his campaign team however continued with their visit to the state and are currently engaging the people of Kogi West Senatorial district at the Kabba township stadium,” Mohammed said.
