Guinness Nigeria PLC says there is no major material loss or injuries during the fire incident that occurred at its Aba logistics centre on Friday.

Viola Douglas, Guinness Nigeria Corporate Relations Director, said this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
“The fire incident that occurred at one of our centres was a minor one with no injuries or casualties recorded.
“It is also important to note that the centre where the incident occurred serves as our logistics with few personnel on site during the incident.
“Major operations happens at our Benin and Oga breweries, so normal operations continues as usual,” she said.
She said that investigation was underway to establish the cause of the incident.
She commended efforts of the fire service and police in curtailing the fire and everyone that reached out during the incident.
“We are committed to ensuring the health and safety of our employees and communities where we operate as we continue to maintain our standard,” the Guinness spokesperson said.
